The Double Trouble of Taxation

Congressman Ron Paul

Taxes were on the forefront of many Americans’ minds this week as they scrambled to meet the April 15th deadline to file their returns. Tax policy in this country hurts taxpayers twice – once when they pay taxes, and then when the government spends the money. Americans are sick and tired of the financial burden and the endless forms to fill out. To add insult to injury, after collecting this money the government does some very detrimental things to the economy.

The burden of complying with the income tax is tremendous. Since its inception in 1913, the tax code has gone from 400 pages to over 67,000. The Tax Foundation estimates that around $265 billion dollars and 6 billion hours are spent just on compliance. That expense amounts to about 22 cents of every dollar the IRS collects. Imagine the boon to the economy if we spent that time and money expanding our businesses and creating jobs!

Aside from the direct loss of money and productivity, the funds from the income tax enable the government to do some very destructive things, such as vastly over-regulating economic activity, making it difficult to earn money in the first place. The federal government funds over 50 agencies, departments and commissions that formulate rules and regulations. These bureaucracies operate with little to no oversight from the people or Congress and generate around 4,000 new rules every year and operate at a cost of about 40 billion dollars. There are some 75,000 pages of regulations in the Federal Register that Americans are expected to know and abide by. Complying with these governmental regulations costs American businesses more than one trillion dollars per year, according to a study by Mark Crain for the Small Business Administration. This complicated system drives production to other countries and shrinks our job market here at home.

Big government is destructive when it takes your money and when it spends it. There is no economic benefit to supporting a government sector as massive as ours. In fact, this country thrived for well over 100 years without an income tax. Today, if you took away the income tax, the government would still have revenue from other sources equal to total government spending in 1990, when government was still too big. $1.2 trillion should be more than enough to fund a government operating within its constitutional confines, and that is exactly what we need to get back to.

I have introduced legislation many times to abolish the IRS and the income tax. It is fundamentally un-American to require taxpayers to testify against themselves and be considered guilty until proven innocent. Abolishing the IRS altogether would trigger an avalanche of real growth in the economy.

With these financial hard times only just beginning, this would be the most efficient and logical way to get our economy growing again, and Americans would need not dread the 15th of April every year.

Money Trail To Socialism

Filed under: Taxation, Federal Reserve Bank, General — Bob Picard @ 0:00

Greetings All:

Merriam Webster dictionary defines ‘treason’ as follows, 1: the betrayal of a trust :treachery. It is an understatement to say our government has betrayed our trust.  Their daily usurping of the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights is treasonous and should be a call to action for all Patriotic Americans who love Fredom, and Cherish our National Sovereignty.

As I begin to work on my Federal Income Tax filing. You know, that un-constitutional government extortion of ‘personal property’ i.e. wages (not income) from We the People, I thought it would be a good time to send out my annual re-circulation of a commentary of mine titled, “Money Trail To Socialism” attached below.  Hopefully it helps in getting you in the festive mood of complying with one of the biggest “ponzi schemes” in the history of this once “Great Republic.”

If you happen to be one who believes communism was defeated, think again.  We have American Presidents, Presidential Candidates, Media ‘puppets’, and ignorant Americans refering to our country as a ‘Democracy’, Karl Marx (Mr. Communism himself) said, “Democracy is the road to socialism” ,  Comrade Vladimir Lenin, former dictator of the Communist U.S.S.R. said, “The goal of socialism is communism.”

The dots are being connected folks!  With the current choices in the 2008 Presidential election, we should be on track to make Lenin’s ‘goal’ reality.

Steve

Money Trail to Socialism

By Steven E. Moran, Jr.

It’s Income Tax filing season again; the time when we willingly put our signature of approval to the year long extortion of wages that has been perpetrated against us despite the fact the federal government refuses to identify the tax law that authorizes them to confiscate such wages.  Fact is, you can’t identify law that doesn’t exist! Former IRS Commissioner T. Coleman Andrews once said, “The income tax is fulfilling the Marxist prophecy that the surest way to destroy a capitalist society is by steeply graduated taxes on income and heavy levies upon the estates of people when they die. Maybe we ought to see that every person who gets a tax return receives a copy of the Communist Manifesto with it so he can see what’s happening to him.” For those who may not know, the Communist Manifesto is the work of none other than Karl Marx, also known as the Father of Communism.  Marxism believes in the abolition of private property, denial of family inheritance, centralization of the banks by means of a national bank with an exclusive monopoly, and free education for all children in public schools. There is more, but I think you can get the picture.  If some of this sounds familiar, it ‘s because it is happening at varying levels right here in the good ole USA .  Look at the number of eminent domain cases recently.  In most cases, the government is misusing this law to remove Americans from their private property for use by other private enterprise. It doesn’t get much more un-American than denying a person the right to unfettered ownership of private property.  The current inheritance tax is unconstitutional, and just short of the Marxist dogma of denying survivors of the deceased it’s family inheritance.  Today, our free public schools would be more accurately described as government indoctrination centers.  Our public schools denounce prayer in a country founded on Judeo–Christian principles.  Despite what the secularist would like us to believe, our heritage is undeniable.  George Washington once said; “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and Bible.” During a speech in 1779 he said; “What students would learn in American schools above all is the religion of Jesus.”  This is certainly not the emphasis of our public schools today.  As a matter of fact it is totally forbidden; instead the Marxist agenda of moral relativism now corrupts the minds of children in public schools throughout the country.  Marx’s call for centralization of the banks as it relates to America is a clear reference to the Federal Reserve; this private banking cartel is indeed a monopoly to say the least.   I talked about this in my previous essay, “Oatmeal, Potatoes, and the Federal Reserve. It is my hope that this essay can serve as Part 2, and continue connecting the dots in tracking the Money Trail To Socialism.

The ingenious part of this insidious plan is the fact that it is being done with our money.  Dr Laurence J. Peter,  Canadian born educator, and best known for his formulation of the “Peter Principle”, once said, “ America is a land of taxation that was founded to avoid taxation.” Americans now surrender approximately 50% of gross earnings to this system of government extortion, and other forms of taxation.  It is estimated that the average American taxpayer must work from January thru May just to meet their alleged tax obligations for the year.  First, the government taxes our wages before we see a dime. The same money is taxed again upon the purchase of most goods and services.   Stop to fill up your car at a gas station… government taxes you.  Drive the interstate…government taxes you.  Buy some tickets for a ball game…government taxes you.  Pop open a cold one…government taxes you.  Book an airline flight for a family vacation…government taxes you.  Reserve a hotel room for that vacation…government taxes you.  Achieve the American dream and buy a home for your family…government taxes you.  Make a home improvement on your private property…government taxes you.  Make a phone call…government taxes you.  Turn on a light in your home…government taxes you.  Adjust your heat thermostat…government taxes you.  Flush the toilet…government taxes you.  Turn on your television…government taxes you.  Exercise your 2nd Amendment right and purchase a firearm…government taxes you.  Stressed out over all this taxation, take a moment to enjoy a relaxing cigar…oops…government taxes you.  After a fleecing like this, one would think the taxman is content; Wrong! Eventually we succumb to the second necessary evil of life, and pass on. The federal government then has the audacity to extend its condolences to the family of the deceased in the form of the “Death Tax”.

This is Marxism at work folks!  When the government is allowed to invent ways to steal the “fruits of the people’s labor”, economic freedom is sure to suffer, and the inevitable result at best, will lead to Socialism.  Vladimir I.

Lenin, the first Russian dictator of the Soviet Union, a student of Karl Marx, and remembered as the man who put Marx’s ideas to practical use once said; “The way to crush the bourgeoisie (middle class) is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.”  That grind has certainly taken its toll on Americans.  It’s been ninety-four years of unlawful taxation and still one has to wonder if Americans realize what is happening to them.  Perhaps former IRS Commissioner Andrew’s suggestion, to include a copy of the Communist Manifesto with our tax returns will awaken us from our apathetic state, and allow us to see what is happening to us.  Of course, we’ll probably be taxed for it!
Yours In Liberty ,
Steve

A response to a reply I received concerning Ed Brown in Plainfield, NH

Filed under: Taxation, General — Rich @ 9:09
I am going to be honest with you my friend. If it wasn’t for work I would be there standing with this man. The time for fear is long past and it is now time for all people of all political persuasions to take back America. Our founding fathers, all gave some and some paid the ultimate price, gave us this land as a heritage to pass on to our future generations. We have allowed our leaders, slave owners, to control ever bit of our lives. We have forsaken this heritage that was left to us to protect. This once great land wasn’t left to political parties, it was left to the people. it wasn’t left to political elites, it was left to the people. It wasn’t left to republicans or democrats, it was left to the people,  it wasn’t left to international bankers and corporate whores, it was left to we the people, it wasn’t left to be turned into a despotic democracy, it was left to us as a Constitutional Republic that would require work to keep, to hold their government accountable and to take measures into their own hands when the government turned into slave owners instead of servants, elections are now fixed thanks to electronic voting machines so voting is a bad joke on the American public, the proof to this is absolutely overwhelming. How long do we continue to stand by and allow this rogue government to overrun our God given inaleinable rights? This man is taking a stand for all of us.  Would something as simple as a phone call to show our support be worth it , ( I am going to try and get his phone number today)?
The time for action is long past. The time to hold all political candidates and parties accountable to our supreme law of the land, The U.S. Constitution, is long past due. The masses have been dumbed down deliberately by our educational system that is working for the cause of the New World Order. Our politicians at all levels, with few exceptions, are on the payroll of the elitists and corporations that are driving America into the New World Order. Our very own president along with the latest version of treason in congress is pushing to allow millions of illegal immigrants amnesty instead of enforcing our laws against this lawlessness. It is now long past to to realize that our rogue government has declared war on we , the American public.
If I can not be there with this gentleman and a true American Patriot, I will stand with him in word and spirit. . What this gentleman is standing for is without a doubt correct. The 16th Amendment to the constitution was never legally ratified and furthermore by the supreme courts own decisions it never gave the government power to tax the rewards of our labors. The IRS has elevated it self over our supreme court and refuses to answer legitimate questions asked by the public. Believe me there is no law that says you have to pay an income tax nor that your employer has to deduct it from your paycheck, free accounting services for the government that violates our constitution.
I guess by now you might be saying “Dick (Rich) is a little upset”. You are without a doubt 100% correct. I am tired of being a pretend free person. I am tired of seeing myself, my family and my extended families, never mind all the other families, that are trying to make ends meet and seeing it all go down the drain of 8.6 trillion dollars of national debt and climbing daily due to the phony war on terror and myriads of unconstitutional spending. Of course the real debt is around 56 trillion, this is never going to be paid as it can’t be unless we outlaw the Federal Reserve Bank and arrest every one of these scoundrels that are share holders in it, lock them up, perform some of Bush’s non torture on them and then throw away the key. How do we awaken the masses? I don’t know, but with what is happening in Plainfield, NH now we might just wake up. Remember that there was only about 33% of the people in favor of the first American Reviolution and it succeded. Can we Awaken 33% today? I hope we can and with more Patriots like Ed Brown up there in Plainfield, we will and we will take back America from the traitors and the modern version of King of England
I am done ranting and if you feel the urge to forward this on my friend, do it with my blessing.
“There is no tyranny so great as the tyranny of destroying our God Given inaleinable rights under the guise of protecting us from the very tyranny they, our own government,  have legislated upon us though unconstitutional laws and gestapo like regulators. In essence this is a declaration of war on America and its people by its own government”. Ed Brown has taken a stand against this tyranny. What are we going to do?
Richard Selfridge, January 22, 2007
ps: Sorry my friend for such a long rant, but there comes a time that all feelings must be realeased. They are not intended to be aimed at you, but to let you know that I stand for freedom for all mankind and you are just one of those special people in my life. “What greater love is there than for a man to give up his life for a friend”? I believe it is coming to that time when we are going to have to make some very strong decisons in our lives based on our convictions and we now need to take a good hard look in the mirror and decide where we stand. Do we die on our feet or are we going to live on our knees? I for one beleive that America is still worth saving, but I am afraid it is going to take bloodshed to save it. There is an alternative, but time is running out on that one. It will take literally millions of people to accomplish it, but it could be done and again there would probaly be some loss of life involved. We could absolutely take back D.C. with a mass march to the Whitehouse and the House of criminals, the capitol building. There isn’t enough fire power there to stop us all.
Of course if we are going to continue to be drawn in by all the petty differences between us and continue to belive all the lies from the OUTLAW GOVERNMENT, we will never ever see freedom again May God save the Republic.
I leave with you a quote from one our founding patriots:

“If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our country men.”

“Among the natural rights of the colonists are these: first, a right to life; second, to liberty; third, to property; together with the right to support and defend them in the best manner they can. These are evident branches of … the duty of self-preservation, commonly called the first law of nature. All men have a right to remain in a state of nature as long as they please; and in case of intolerable oppression, civil or religious, to leave the society they belong to, and ernter into another…. Now what liberty can there be where property is taken away without consent?” (Nov 20, 1772)
