Food For Thought From The Chuck Wagon

There was someone in the gallery during President George W. Bush’s State of the Union speech that he would not dare publicly recognize. Even though he knew she was there, I’m confident he never even bothered to look up at Gallery 5, Row B, Seat 9, because sitting in that seat was Monica Ramos, the wife of imprisoned former Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos. She was the invited guest of Republican California Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.
Representative Rohrabacher is incensed at Bush’s Justice Department for imprisoning Ramos and former Border Patrol agent Jose Alonso Compean for their actions in the shooting and wounding of a Mexican drug smuggler.
In case you missed the story, the two BP agents intercepted a Mexican drug smuggler who brought more than 700 pounds of marijuana (that we know of) across the border into the United States. In the process of attempting to capture the criminal, he pointed something at the agents, and they opened fire. He was apparently hit in the buttocks, as he turned to run. However, the smuggler appeared to not be injured, as he continued to run swiftly back into Mexico and into a waiting van. Both van and smuggler raced out of sight. The smuggler’s weapon was not found.
Why, you ask, were the two agents imprisoned (for a term of more than 11 years each, no less)? For firing their weapons and not filing the proper paperwork. You read it right.
“TJ Bonner, president of the National Border Patrol Council, a union representing 1,500 agents, argued failure to report the discharge of a firearm is an administrative offense that, at the most, merits a five-day suspension,” reports World Net Daily.
“How that translates into 11-and 12-year prison terms is beyond me,” Bonner said.
Making matters worse, the Mexican drug smuggler was even granted full immunity by the Justice Department and brought back at U.S. taxpayers’ expense to testify against the agents. He is even being allowed to sue the two agents for over $5 million for having his “civil rights” violated. No, he is not an American citizen. He is a Mexican criminal who entered the United States illegally for the express purpose of smuggling drugs.
More than 70 lawmakers signed a petition pleading with President Bush to pardon the two agents. To no avail. Agents Ramos and Compean began their prison terms on January 17.
Representative Rohrabacher called President Bush a “disgrace” for refusing to pardon the two BP agents. About Bush, he said, “This is the worst betrayal of American defenders I have ever seen.” He further said, “He [Bush] obviously thinks more of his agreements with Mexico than the lives of American people and backing up his defenders.”
Rep. Joe Wilson said, “Convicting Ramos and Compean is a slap in the face to every American who respects the rule of law and expects our government to enforce its own laws.”
However, the story gets even more bizarre. Writing for World Net Daily, Jerome Corsi reports, “New evidence suggests prosecuting U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton of El Paso lied about how the government found the fleeing illegal alien Mexican drug smuggler, Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila, according to a Border Patrol advocate closely following the case of former agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Campean.
“Contrary to claims, no Mexican attorney was involved as an intermediary offering to reveal the identity of the drug smuggler and bring him back to the U.S. in exchange for given immunity to testify against Border Patrol, contended Andy Ramirez, chairman of Friends of the Border Patrol.
“‘It’s shocking how much lying Johnny Sutton has done about Aldrete-Davila,’ he told WND.”
Ramirez said emphatically, “If the truth about how the government got their hands on Aldrete-Davila had been told to the jury, there is no way the jury would have believed a word of his story that he was unarmed.”
Obviously, much of the prosecutor’s cased hinged on the testimony of the drug smuggler that he was not armed. In the end, the jury had to decide in favor of a U.S. Attorney and a Mexican drug smuggler or the two Border Patrol agents. Pathetically, they chose to believe the Mexican criminal and the collaborating U.S. Attorney.
Worse still, President Bush ignored the pleas of members of Congress and the thousands of American citizens begging him to pardon the two agents.
In response to Bush’s decision to leave the two BP agents behind bars, Rohrabacher’s spokeswoman, Tara Setmayer, said that the “lives of two brave men, her husband Ignacio Ramos and Border Patrol agent Jose Compean, have been destroyed by an inexplicable policy of open borders and amnesty this administration has toward our southern border.
“If the Bush administration cared about securing our borders, these two law enforcement officers would not be behind bars, and U.S. prosecuting attorneys wouldn’t be prosecuting Border Patrol agents while drug smugglers go free.”
Congressman Rohrabacher even went so far as to say, “He [President Bush] talks about being a Christian, but he has shown no Christian charity.” He went on to say that because of the decision of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and President Bush to prosecute the two Border Patrol agents, “The word is out that the southern border is undefended. Border agents won’t dare to draw their weapons, and the drug cartel will double their effort to drive a wedge in our border.”
Makes one wonder whose side George W. Bush is on, doesn’t it?

Legislative Alert - H.CON.RES.40 - NAFTA SuperHighway - fact or fiction?

Expressing the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada.
While the federal government will deny that there are plans for a North American Union, it appears that they are just playing the time proven game of semantics. They also claim that there are no plans for a NAFTA Superhighway, as a precursor step.
Oh well, it is up to you the citizens to determine how high these politicians rate on your honesty rating scale.
So lets look at some information that even the Bush Administration (President Bush has his own special rating on honesty scales) does not deny. This would be the “North American Inland Ports Network (NAIPN).”
So there is no “NAFTA Superhighway!” There is only a North American Inland Ports Network (NAIPN)!
So to resolve this mysterious conflict it is time to do some homework. Just exactly what is a North American Inland Ports Network (NAIPN)?
The first clue comes from the name of the quasi government agency … oops it is 501-c tax exempt organization. Anyway the name of the tax exempt organization sponsoring the North American Inland Ports Network (NAIPN)? is:
NORTH AMERICA’S SUPERCORRIDOR COALITION, INC.
There is your first clue folks! It is not a SuperHighway it is a SuperCorridor! So all of those federal and State elected officials who deny that there is a plan for a NAFTA SuperHighway are telling the truth - sorta. It is not a highway it is a corridor. I hope this clarifies the situation and you re-evaluate your elected officials ranking on the honesty scale!
In fact the logo of this charitable organization clearly shows that it is planning a corridor right through the middle of our country and just happens - quite by accident surely - include Mexico and Canada!
Not only does this include the two other countries included in the NAFTA Expensive Trade Agreement, but the organization roots date back to 1994. Of course there is no connection to the FACT that NAFTA was passed by a special interest influenced coalition of both Republicans and Democrats just prior to its initiation.
Once again when your federal and State officials deny there is a NAFTA SuperHighway or even a NAFTA SuperCorridor they are telling the truth - sorta. Now that we have clarified the terms NAFTA SuperHighway and North American Inland Ports Network (NAIPN) we can continue looking at what this thing is regardless of what you call it.
To begin it does in fact cut right through the center of our country. That is why they use the term of inland ports! Now to most people inland ports makes about as much sense as water skiing in a desert. But that is the purpose of this project, to create inland ports served by a SuperCorridor.
Now before you laugh at the inland ports term, take a look at the proposed SuperCorridor on the left. It does include real honest to goodness ports. Three Mexican ports are clearly indicated.
Now if the real purpose was to create these “inland ports” with the aid of our government, wouldn’t it make more sense to use ports in our own country? But I do not see a single honest to goodness port in our country connected to this mysterious SuperCorridor.
But the reason is vaguely presented by references to “Pacific Rim” trade. Now that you - or at least some - are getting used to the game of semantics any guesses as to who the dominate supplier of trade goods in the so called Pacific Rim is?
If you guessed China - then you hit the nail on the head!
Is it possible that this whole North American Inland Ports Network (NAIPN) scam and game of semantics is just another step toward destroying our country’s international trade position (See: Trade Deficit still heading toward dismal record breaking debt)?
- Regardless of what it is called it will increase the flow of imports into our country, causing further deterioration of our record breaking trade deficits.

- Regardless of what it is called it increase truck and rail traffic with Mexico which is a constant source of illicit smuggling of many types.

- Regardless of what it is called it will result in you - the tax payer paying for the expansion of the long thin slabs of concrete most of us call highways, but in this is just a SuperCorridor.

- Regardless of what it called it will increase the number of companies in our country that either close shop or move to foreign countries.
Back to the subject of this article, H.C.R. 40. We strongly support his resolution and commend the sponsors for abandoning the game of semantics and addressing this serious situation. The co-sponsors are:

Sadly there are none from Georgia!
Maybe it is time to support political competition in Georgia. Georgia has the hardest ballot access laws in our entire country and has the worst record of any State in political competition in elections. The current law was passed in 1943 for the express purpose of preventing the Republicans getting on the ballot and now the Republicans maintain the Democrats’ law to keep us off the ballot.
We will be sending a letter to each member of the Georgia Congressional delegation asking for their position on H.C.R 40 - stay turned for results.

In today’s Boston Herald, Howie Carr wrote an interesting article entitled “
Kerry Can’t Lose Against This Line-up of Senate Wannabes.â€Â Here are two quotes from the piece:
“The headline yesterday said the Republicans are “ready to pounce.†Pounce? That rhymes with bounce, as in out of office, which is what local Democrats have been doing to the GOP’s candidates, incumbent or otherwise, for decades. “
“Ready to pounce indeed. Most of the state’s Republicans already have - onto a moving truck headed out of state.â€
I’m sure Howie and I disagree on many things, but we both seem to agree on one thing - the Massachusetts State Republican Party is dead. Its a corspe that may never rise again. Some may think last election’s trouncing may rekindle something - but how can a fire be rekindled when there wasn’t much of a fire to begin with?
Very soon I will be broadcasting my first Vote Your Conscience Podcast. Orginally, our first slated guest was to be outgoing Mass GOP Chairman Darrell Crate. Yet, after initially agreeing to come on, he has since cancelled on me several times. Apparently someone doesn’t want to be held responsible.
The Republicans have failed to live up to their responsibility of keeping their word. They claim to be the conservative voice here in the Bay State, but what have they ever done to live up to that title? It is clear to me, there is only one conservative voice in Massachusetts - the Constitution Party.Â
 Keep in mind, we are no longer a “third party†at this point - we are the second party. State Democrats have control of both branches of state government and have killed the Republican Party. That leaves us as the second party. Unlike the Republicans, we stand here ready to fight. We are not willing to allow others to shape the debate. We won’t give in to the deceitful lures of compromise and tolerance.Â
Here, we are not afraid to stand up against the radical homosexual agenda. We will stand firm in securing the promise of life and liberty to every person, born and unborn.  We want oppressive government off your back and a return to the principles of limited government.   We will not rely upon special interests or slimy politics, but our reliance is upon the God who granted us our freedom. We are the Constitution Party - we are YOUR Conservative voice.Â

KILLING BLACK BABIES

I figured that title would get your attention.
We hear a lot about the problems facing the black community. Drugs, crime, poverty, and out-of-wedlock births are just a few of the issues inner city black Americans are dealing with. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and the other race-hustlers are quick to point out the lack of opportunities for young inner city people who are trapped by government-induced poverty. There is big money in poverty. Not money for the poor, but money for those who claim to represent the poor. We would be astounded if a full accounting were ever given of the billions of dollars wasted on helping the poor.
Do you think Jesse Jackson is poor? Is Al Sharpton begging for food? No, somewhere along the line, poverty has been “berry berry good†for them.
I sat in my living room watching news reports of the “March for Life†held annually in Washington D. C. This year commemorates the 34th year of unabated child killing in the United States–since the most un-Godly decision any court ever handed down–the Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized the slaughter of unborn children inside their mother’s womb. Nearly 50 million children have lost their lives in what should be the safest location on earth…the womb of their mother. It is one thing for a woman to want to kill her child, it is quite another for the government to sanction that killing.
Come on! We know it is a child. We know it is the taking of an innocent life. Yet for 34 straight years, Christians–mostly Catholic– have made their yearly pilgrimage to Washington to let our politicians know that killing unborn children is wrong. Nothing ever changes, the killing goes on, but their conscience is soothed because they went to Washington and carried a sign. Most evangellyfish won’t even do that.
I have made the journey several times but I couldn’t take it this year. We are not really serious about abortion. Abortion will end when the Church decides it will end and not a second sooner. Carrying signs and marching with our friends sends a signal to our leaders. What is that signal? “We think abortion is wrong. Please make it stop. See you next year.†Meanwhile, 4500 will die today…and tomorrow….even as they carry their signs.
But I digress.
I noticed this year that the “March†had a new look to it; a much blacker look. Could it be that black Americans and black American pastors are finally beginning to realize what is going on? Statistics show that more than 90% of black Americans voted Democratic in the last election. Led to the slaughter by the race-hustlers Jackson and Sharpton, nine out of ten blacks voted for a party that makes no bones about the fact that they support a woman’s right to kill her child. It is time once again for someone to shine the light of Truth into the darkness. Black ministers “praise the Lord†in their churches, while they take Democratic dollars for their flocks in exchange for the lives of their children. Buckle up, here come the facts.

Anybody see Jesse or Al at the rally? Where was Hillary or Obama? Do they support the systematic genocide of the black race currently going on in America? Where were the Black Caucus, the NAACP, and the Nation of Islam? Don’t they care about innocent black children? Why won’t the media ever talk to true black Christian leader Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson?
Want more? Ok. Learn more about Klan Parenthood. Today in America where Jackson, Sharpton and their boyz constantly scream about inequality consider this:

Almost as many black children are aborted as are born.

A black baby is three times more likely to be murdered in the womb than a white baby.

Twice as many blacks have died from abortion than have died from AIDS, accidents, violent crimes, cancer, and heart disease combined.

Every three days, more blacks are killed by abortion than have been killed by the Ku Klux Klan in its entire history.

Planned Parenthood operates the nation’s largest chain of abortion clinics and almost 80 percent of its facilities are located in minority neighborhoods.

About 13 percent of American women are black, but they submit to over 35 percent of the abortions.

She called blacks, immigrants, and indigents, ““…’human weeds,’ ‘reckless breeders,’ ’spawning… human beings who never should have been born.”
One of her programs designed to eliminate these “human weeds†was call The Negro Project. Sanger said “The minister’s work is also important and he should be trained, perhaps by the Federation as to our ideals and the goal that we hope to reach. We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.†Are you listening, Jesse?
And 90% of black Americans vote for the extermination of their own people, like lambs led to the slaughter by their own pastors.
The number one killer of black Americans is abortion. Today, the number one abortion provider in America is the federally-funded Planned Parenthood of America. American tax dollars are killing black babies in disproportionate numbers. Sounds like racism to me.
President Bush could end abortion tomorrow. He could issue an Executive Order commissioning a study on the disproportional slaughter of black children by abortion providers. He could freeze all money given to Planned Parenthood. Jackson and Sharpton, Hillary and Obama, the NAACP and the Black Caucus could stand shoulder to shoulder with him as he ended racism in “reproductive choice,” and defend the weakest of all black Americans.
But that would take courage. Instead we get this from him yesterday as he “phoned in†to the March for Life:
“It (the Declaration of Independence) also states that these rights come from our Creator, and that governments are formed to secure these rights for all their citizens. And we believe every human life has value, and we pray for the day when every child is welcome in life and protected into law,”
Pray for the day when life is protected by law? What bilge. He is the president of the United States for God’s sake! Show some courage! How about launching a war on abortion, Mr. Bush! Expose the black leadership and the fraud they represent. Sorry folks, G.W. Bush is not pro-life. It is only window dressing.
So here is the Truth. Black babies are being aborted at an alarming rate and our leadership does not care. Our president does not care, the Republicans do not care, black leadership does not care, the Democrats do not care, and obviously, Church leadership does not care. Gotta make sure the Duke Lacrosse team isn’t raping any black women.
Bush went on to say yesterday, “National Sanctity of Human Life Day serves as a reminder that we must value human life in all forms, not just those considered healthy, wanted, or convenient. Together, we can work toward a day when the dignity and humanity of every person is respected,“
Since when did only “respected†life deserve to live? Black babies are being murdered and nobody cares.
Let me ask the race-hustlers a question. If you had your choice would you rather be poor…or dead?

In viewing the President’s State of the Union Address last night, it didn’t take long for our neo-conservative, global elitist, commander in chief to begin spewing, lies, half-truths and misnomers.
Within the first few minutes of his speech he referred to the first of three economic reforms that he felt required priority in Congress; he was referring to balancing the budget. The following is what he said; “First, we must balance the federal budget. We can do so without raising taxes. What we need to do is impose spending discipline in Washington, D.C. We set a goal of cutting the deficit in half by 2009 – and met that goal three years ahead of schedule. Now let us take the next step. In the coming weeks, I will submit a budget that eliminates the federal deficit within the next five years. I ask you to make the same commitment. Together, we can restrain the spending appetite of the federal government, and balance the federal budget.†To the average American sitting on their sofa, yawning and half exhausted from a long day of work, this sounds like a prudent, and responsible economic objective. If those same Americans, after a good nights sleep, and a robust cup of coffee in the morning, would down load the transcript for closer analysis, we may better understand “what the meaning of is – isâ€. Before we take the words of President Bush, or any other politician at face value, let us recall the words of communist Nikita Khrushchev; “Politicians are the same all over. They promise to build a bridge even where there is no riverâ€; and that about sums up the political landscape in Washington, D.C.
In decoding the quoted statement above, lets start with the president’s reference to “balance the federal budgetâ€. He then refers to “cutting the deficit†by half, three years before his 2009 plan. He then uses the term “deficit†again in suggesting his upcoming plan will “eliminate the federal deficit within the next five years.†First of all, it is not within the limited authority granted to the Executive Branch under the U.S. Constitution, to be submitting budgets to Congress. Congress, as legislators, and representative of “We the Peopleâ€, is granted authorization under the U.S. Constitution to plan and manage a fiscal budget, and for public record, disclose the manner in which the ‘people’s treasury’ will be utilized. That violation of the Constitution aside, don’t you just love these Presidents’ who suggest plans to “eliminate the federal deficitâ€, but the plans will need more years than they have left in office!
What Americans need to know is simple, no politician in Washington D.C. has the power to, or the intention of balancing the budget! The Federal Reserve is calling the shots, and it is more profitable to them that we remain indebted to them at the expense of tax paying Americans. Politicians like to attempt at further confusing the American people by using the terms ‘Debt’ and ‘Deficit’ interchangeably, as if both are one in the same. Nothing could be further from the truth; I will make a short and simple attempt to explain. Assume the government is preparing to pass a budget for the present year; the current balance the federal government owes to the Federal Reserve in past loans and interest is for example, $9 Trillion Dollars; this represents the ‘national debt’. The federal government while preparing its budget assesses projected revenue from taxes and other sources of income. For the sake of this example, lets assume that amount of projected revenue is $800 billion dollars.†Not one dime of this collected tax revenue extorted from Americans is used in the funding of programs, services or infrastructure maintenance. The money is paid to the Federal Reserve as re-payment to the existing balance on the previously loaned money, i.e. $9 Trillion dollars (national debt). With the government’s free wheeling spending, and ‘blank check’ mentality of the Federal Reserve, the federal government plans a budget that they know will cost in excess of projected revenue, lets say for example, $1 trillion dollars. The shortfall of $200 Billion dollars now becomes the current budget’s ‘deficit’. This $200 Billion dollar ‘deficit’ is then added to the existing national ‘debt’; $200 Billion + $9 Trillion = an a total national debt of $9.2 Trillion dollars. On, and on, it goes, year after year, interest on top of interest paid on borrowed money from the Federal Reserve. This type of ‘deficit’ spending by our federal government will never allow for a balanced budget, but inevitably will lead to bankruptcy.
Just the portion of the people’s treasury that is being squandered to foreign lands will prevent the balancing of the federal budget. While it is Bush who several days earlier was requesting Congress approval for his increased spending plan to continue his war on the foreign land of Iraq, he then speaks to Americans in his ‘State of the Union’ about “restraining the spending appetite of the federal governmentâ€. Additionally, I think it’s important for Americans to realize, of the 160 countries in the world, we have a military presence in 139 (I believe that to be the last report I read), yet the borders of our own homeland are not safe, and present a plethora of problems that include, great risk to our national sovereignty, economic liberty, and the overall safety of every American.
In 64 BC Marcus Tullius Cicero became Consul of the Roman Republic. While holding this position, the highest office in the Roman Empire, he pleaded the following to his colleagues regarding fiscal policy; “ The budget should be balanced. Public debt should be reduced. The arrogance of officialdom should be tempered, and assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed, lest Rome become bankrupt.†Sounds like responsible advice to me, but quite different from the following statement by President Bush in one of his previous speeches to Americans; “Globalization has altered the dynamics in the White House, as well as between the White House and the Treasury.†Decoded, that statement means, he will continue wasting our money in foreign lands, until the ‘One World Government’ agenda is completely facilitated at the expense of American taxpayers, and the loss of our national sovereignty. In other words, his contradicting statement last night about, “restraining spendingâ€, was his version of “promising to build a bridge even where there is no river.â€

Chaplain Lt. Gordon James Klingenschmitt has been court-martialed and dismissed from the U.S. Navy. His crime? Praying in Jesus’ name in uniform outside a chapel. You read it right. After 15 1/2 years of exemplary service, Lt. Klingenschmitt is being drummed out of the Navy.Understand that Klingenschmitt has a meritorious military record. He graduated from the Air Force Academy and spent 11 years as an Air Force missile officer. He was promoted to the rank of Major and was offered a job at the Pentagon at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. However, Klingenschmitt wanted to be a chaplain. As such, he willingly took a demotion in order to serve in the U.S. Navy as a chaplain at the rank of Lieutenant.Chaplain Klingenschmitt served in the Persian Gulf. While there, he and his men won 6 awards, including Best in the Navy, for outstanding Community Service. But now this fine Christian man is being discharged. He is losing his career (not to mention a million-dollar pension) for the “crime†of praying in Jesus’ name.Â

Now, compare what the Navy has done to Lt. Klingenschmitt to this report from World Net Daily. “[T]he Pentagon recently promoted a Wahhabi-trained Muslim chaplain who catered to al-Qaida detainees at Guantanamo and fought to establish the first Mosque in Marine Corps history.â€
According to WND, “Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England personally promoted Navy chaplain Abuhena Mohammed Saifulislam from lieutenant to lieutenant commander. Saifulislam also received a Joint Service Commendation Medal at the Pentagon ceremony held on the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Pentagon officials say the ceremony was unprecedented. ‘It’s unusual for a deputy secretary to personally promote an officer of that rank,’ said one official who wished to go unnamed. ‘No one has known of such a high-level dignitary doing that.’â€
Furthermore, the WND report stated, “England also earlier this year personally dedicated a new Islamic center at Marine headquarters in Quantico, Va., on the advice of Saifulislam . . .â€
Now get this: “The Muslim chaplain, who is stationed at Quantico, recited verses from the Quran in Arabic and English at the summer dedication ceremony, which included representatives from the Council on American-Islamic Relations, several leaders of which have been convicted on terrorism-related charges.â€
Yet, it gets worse. According to the WND report, “Saifulislam, which is Arabic for ‘Sword of Islam,’ received his religious training at a radical Islamic school raided by federal agents after 9/11.†Terror expert Paul Sperry said, “The Pentagon is giving him a permanent, taxpayer-supported platform from which to convert grunts to Islam.†He also said, “With the Quantico mosque, the Pentagon is facilitating the study of the holy text the enemy uses, heretically or not, as their manual of warfare.â€
This kind of idiocy is what happens when presidents and their subordinates become consumed with political correctness. Logic, common sense, character, and appreciation for truth are thrown out the window. And good men such as Lt. Klingenschmitt must bear the brunt of it all.
Readers should know that since Chaplain Klingenschmitt’s dismissal, public outcry convinced the Pentagon to reverse its policy of punishing chaplains who pray in Jesus’ name. Unfortunately, the decision is not being grandfathered back to Klingenschmitt’s case, and he is still being drubbed out of the Navy.
If you listen to my interview with Lt. Klingenschmitt, you will immediately be aware that this is a good man, a fine Christian patriot who is being unjustly punished. He is not bitter. However, seeking to be reinstated, he has hired The Rutherford Institute to represent him in filing a lawsuit against the U.S. Navy. I urge my fellow Americans to pray that God will vindicate the good chaplain and that he will be restored to his former position and rank. You might want to let your congressman know of this injustice, as well.
I wonder how many more Lt. Gordon Klingenschmitts and Judge Roy Moores will have to be sacrificed before America comes to its senses?
