Over the years, I have been as outspoken a critic of the mainstream press as anyone. For one thing, the vast majority of mainstream media celebrities seem infatuated with liberal politicians. For example, popular news hosts are going gaga in the way they cover the presidential campaign of Senator Barak Obama. Of course, this is standard operating procedure for the majority of the mainstream media. Is it any wonder that so many people across America have serious disdain for America’s major news makers?
Â
Furthermore, if CNN is the “Clinton News Network,” FOX News is the “Bush News Network.” For instance, Sean Hannity is nothing more than a shill for Republicans in general and George W. Bush in particular. The same is true for Rush Limbaugh and countless other media dignitaries.
Â
Genuinely objective reporting is almost nonexistent in today’s mainstream media. They all seem to be little more than lap dogs for big-government media moguls, distracting the American public with incessant “news” coverage of Anna Nicole Smith and Britney Spears, while providing almost no coverage of the really important issues impacting America’s future survival. Thank God, there is one exception: CNN’s Lou Dobbs.
Â
Day in and day out, Lou Dobbs dares to address the truly salient issues that most newsmen are either too ignorant or too afraid to address. For example, Dobbs is the one member of the mainstream press that is willing to not only address the subjects of illegal immigration, the erasure of our national borders, the loss of our national sovereignty, and the burgeoning North American Union, but he courageously tells the truth about it all.
Â
Furthermore, among the national mainstream media, it has been Lou Dobbs, and only Lou Dobbs, that has been willing to challenge the Bush administration’s pathetic capitulation to the Mexican government in prosecuting and imprisoning Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean, while at the same time giving a confessed Mexican drug dealer amnesty so that he might testify against the agents.Â
Â
I’m not sure how Lou Dobbs became the courageous champion that he is, or how it is that CNN lets him speak out as freely and forthrightly as he does, but I am sure glad he is on the air. His is a lone but powerful voice for truth amidst a cacophony of phony-baloney “news” reporting and downright propaganda.
Â
If you want to get the “straight scoop” on the issues that are currently threatening America’s national sovereignty and independence, Lou Dobbs is your man. Personally, I thank God for Lou Dobbs.

Â
That Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez lied to Congress now seems obvious. It is also clear that now Congress wants Gonzalez, Karl Rove and others to testify under oath about the matter.
Â
At issue, of course, is the White House firing of eight U.S. attorneys. While everyone (especially Republicans) seems preoccupied with the fact that U.S. attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President and may be fired at his discretion, they conveniently overlook the circumstances surrounding their dismissal.
Â
While President Bill Clinton fired all the U.S. attorneys almost immediately after taking office, Bush’s White House apparently fired these U.S. attorneys after they had faithfully served his administration for some six years. The cloud of suspicion rises even further when it appears that at least some of these U.S. attorneys were engaged in cases involving government corruption and secret national security grand jury investigations.
Â
At the heart of the firings seems to be U.S. Attorney Carol Lam of California who was reportedly conducting testimony regarding espionage and prostitution/pedophilia sex rings. Clients are reputed to be U.S. senators and congressmen, news reporters and high government officials.
Â
Readers will remember that it was Lam who successfully prosecuted former Congressman Randy “Duke” Cunningham on corruption charges. Apparently, the Cunningham and Jack Abramoff convictions were only the tip of the iceberg. Some suggest that as many as twenty to thirty legislators, numerous high-profile media celebrities, and at least one foreign head of state are involved in what were, before the firings, active investigations.
Â
In addition, the tentacles of these investigations also reach out to include the Valerie Plame affair, which, at its heart, involves evidence that the White House deliberately manufactured evidence regarding Iraq’s war capabilities and intentions that ultimately led to the U.S. invasion of that country in 2003.
Â
If any of this is remotely accurate, it is very conceivable that the White House is guilty of obstruction of justice, at the very least.
Â
Now that Congress is threatening to issue subpoenas to White House chieftains forcing them to testify under oath about the matter, President Bush has drawn a defiant line in the sand. He is adamantly refusing to allow his lieutenants to testify. He calls it a matter of “executive privilege.”
Â
However, I am reminded of both Bush’s and Gonzalez’s response to critics of the draconian Patriot Act, and other policies highly invasive to the private lives of American citizens, when they arrogantly replied, “If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about.” Well, now the shoe is on the other foot. If Bush and Gonzalez have nothing to hide, they have nothing to worry about.
Â
Contrary to the claims of many Republicans, this is no constitutional crisis. The only crisis to the Constitution is the fact that for far too long both major parties have ignored it. It is the duty of Congress to hold the Executive branch in check. The truth is, the Executive branch of the federal government (especially under this President) has accrued more power and authority unto itself than is constitutionally permissible, and it is past time for Congress to rein it in.
Â
Congress, more than the President or Supreme Court, represents the American people. As initially prescribed, the House of Representatives was to directly represent the people, while the Senate was to represent the States. Absent this constitutional safeguard, the presidency would quickly become a monarchy. And, unfortunately, that is what President Bush is attempting to turn the presidency into.
Â
Karl Rove and Alberto Gonzalez should go to Capitol Hill and honestly answer the questions of Congress. If there was any attempt to obstruct justice or hide criminal conduct, the guilty parties should be duly prosecuted, no matter who they are.
Â
Will Congress pursue their duty to the Constitution? Will they sincerely probe for the truth and prosecute the guilty parties? Don’t count on it.
Â
Remember back to the Clinton impeachment days: the GOP was just as culpable in hiding damning evidence as were the Democrats. The reason? Too many of their own would be victimized by the fallout if the truth were to get out. The same thing will happen here.
Â
Democrats will use the firing of the eight U.S. attorneys as little more than a political sideshow to try and posture themselves for the 2008 elections. However, they will not seek to uncover the truth and to prosecute the evildoers, as too many of their own would also bite the dust. It is the old “Potomac Two-Step” in motion, once again.
Â
Perhaps, one day (soon I hope) the American people will wake up and wise up and start replacing these two corrupt political parties with some honest, independent men and women who will work to restore honor and integrity in Washington, D.C. In the meantime, enjoy the sideshow.

USDOJ: WHO WILL STOP THIS CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE?
Â

A substantial number of Americans have heard at least part of the story of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. Theirs is the story of a corrupt Federal Department of Justice, U.S. prosecutors. They are victims of a sitting president who will unconstitutionally invade a foreign country (Iraq) based on a mountain of lies to “fight the war on terrorism,” while at the same time refusing to close our Southern Border. While these two men have had their lives destroyed, as well as their families, we have a Congress full of buzzards and craven individuals who spend their time primping in front of cameras and dining on gold flecked dinner plates who could care less. There are a handful of members of Congress who are actually doing what must be done, but they are being beat into the ground by pro-communist advocates like Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton and foolish mush heads like Barbara Boxer.
Yet another American has fallen victim to that lawless institution out in Washington, DC., former Edwards County Texas sheriff’s deputy, Gilmer Hernandez; CNN transcript, Lou Dobbs, March 19, 2007:
“Casey Wian, CNN Correspondent (voice-over): Former Edwards County Texas sheriff’s deputy Gilmer Hernandez was just doing his job that day in April 2005, when he attempted to pull over a Suburban loaded with suspected illegal aliens.
“Chief Deputy Jay Adams, Edwards County, Texas, Sheriff’s Department: Gilmer approached the car that run the stop sign. They stopped approximately half a mile after he turned his emergency lights on. He walked up to the driver’s window and asked for the license. And the driver immediately put the car in gear and swerved toward him, taking off. Gilmer pulled his pistol and fired at the left rear tire, blowing it out. And they kept on going, and he attempted to shoot out the right rear tire.
“Wian: One of the shots slightly injured a passenger. The other occupants fled. The Texas Rangers investigated the shooting and cleared the deputy of wrongdoing. Even so, Gilmer Hernandez, not the illegal aliens or their smugglers, is now the one incarcerated. He was convicted of violating the illegal aliens’ civil rights and sentenced to a year and a day in prison.
“Adams: I believe that Gilmer was unfairly prosecuted. If a police officer can’t protect the people that he’s assigned to protect and serve, who’s going to protect him?
“Wian: It’s a painful separation from his wife and 7-month-old daughter.
“Ashley Hernandez, Gilmer’s Wife: He knows he did what was right, and everybody’s supporting him and that keeps him going.
“Roy Cottle, Longtime friend of Gilmer: This is a small town. We all know everybody. We know their whole life history. If Gilmer Hernandez wasn’t a good person, this whole town wouldn’t be behind him, but we are 100 percent.
“Wian: Hernandez was prosecuted by Texas U.S. attorney Johnny Sutton’s office after the Mexican government intervened in the case. Sutton also pursued criminal charges against Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean for shooting and wounding an illegal alien Mexican drug smuggler.
“Rep. Ted Poe (R), Texas: They were similar in that the Mexican government demanded prosecution. Our federal government quickly reacted to prosecute in both cases. And in both of the cases, when the border agents and Gilmer Hernandez discharged their weapons, they were acting in self-defense, but yet, the federal government felt otherwise and prosecuted them for really doing what I think was their job.
“Wian: Poe and other supporters want a congressional investigation into how the Mexican government may have influenced both prosecutions. Hernandez could have received a decade in prison. However, with time served and good behavior, he will serve most of the rest of his sentence in a halfway house and be home with his family in about six months.
“Pilgrim: Casey, what was Johnny Sutton’s reaction to the prosecution of this case? WIAN: He defended the prosecution of this case. He says that this sheriff’s deputy broke the law by shooting at suspects who were fleeing. But what’s interesting is that the sentence handed down by the judge, one year and a day, was far short of the seven-year sentence that federal prosecutors had asked for, Kitty…..
“Parks: Well, actually, I’m relieved. You know, we were so concerned that he might get anywhere from seven to 10 years that one year and a day is a relief. And I’m very pleased with that. I’m excited. I may even celebrate this evening at such a short sentence. But also, Kitty, who will be celebrating tonight will be smugglers and criminals everywhere. They’ll know that one more dedicated law enforcement officer who — who protected our borders, who protected our major cities from smugglers from Mexico and Central America, is now in prison and behind bars.
“Pilgrim: Let’s delve into the case a bit. We had the sheriff of Edwards County, Texas, Don Letsinger. He wrote a letter to the judge, and it’s a pretty heartfelt letter. Let’s read a little bit of it for our viewers.
“He says, “I cannot begin to explain to anyone my dismay when I was informed of the guilty verdict handed down. I assure you that I become truly ill. I could have not been any more upset if the verdict had been passed on my own son.”
“And he went on to write in this very same letter, “No many should stand for judgment based on prosecution courtroom antics in the name of advocacy based on false statements and implied evidence.”
“There were a lot of inconsistencies in the prosecution of this case, were there not?
“Parks: Yes, there were, Kitty. And it was a prosecution that I just believe never should have been brought. Gilmer Hernandez was doing his job. What homeland security does to these young guys down on the border is it gives them a heightened sense of responsibility. It tells them about dangerous individuals who will be crossing the border, like the MS-13 gang and possible terrorists.
“And when you put that kind of responsibility on them, when you make them the bellwether, the first line of defense for our border to turn back around, anytime they react and attempt to do what they think is right to protect us, and then to prosecute them sends a message to the individuals in law enforcement on the border that they’d better not react and that they’d better be overly cautious and they’d better err on the side of caution.
“And it tells smugglers that if you don’t want to stop, you can just run from them, that the red lights don’t mean pull over and stop. They mean pull over and stop if you want to. If not, I’m just going to let you go.”
The Texas Rangers did a thorough investigation and cleared Hernandez of any wrongdoing. I hope you will read the entire transcript of this segment on Lou Dobbs linked above because it will make you puke. As I watched Hernandez’ wife holding their little baby, the rage I felt was more than I can describe. Violating the civil rights of illegal aliens? Scum with guns that sneak across our borders, rape, murder, rob, run drugs and take jobs that belong to Americans get the royal treatment, while our law enforcement officers get prison? To say this is a form of insanity is an understatement.
U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton and U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez need to be investigated by a special prosecutor. As you’ll see by reading the transcript, allegedly there will be hearings by Congress on the Compean and Ramos cases, but I’m sick to death of hearings that produce no accountability. Gonzalez is under fire right now over the firing of eight U.S. Attorney’s - a non issue as Joseph Farah so succinctly and correctly wrote about in a recent column; ‘Fire Gonzalez, but not for this.‘ This latest horse and pony show is just political pay back by the Democrats and it’s not only irresponsible, individuals like Comrade Chuckie Schumer, squealing like a pig over these U.S. Attorney’s is wasting time that should be dedicated to stopping the illegals invasion and getting Compean, Ramos and Hernandez, released. Bush has already made it quite clear that he will not pardon these Americans who were railroaded into prison by one Johnny Sutton with the blessing of Alberto Gonzalez.
Bush has made it abundantly clear that he is working towards dissolving these united States of America and is working hand in hand with the Mexican government to erase our border between the two countries. Those who choose to ignore this provable plan underway do so at their own risk because what we have is a major federal agency running amok, ignoring and manipulating the law under the direction of thoroughly corrupt public officials. Lawlessness by a government breeds lawlessness and the buck stops with Gonzalez. He is protecting Johnny Sutton and Bush is protecting Gonzalez. Remember: Old Alberto knows where all the bones are buried and he is responsible for keeping Bush’s drunk driving conviction under wraps as much as possible during Bush’s first run for the presidency.
Johnny Sutton likes to make deals with criminals (illegal aliens), many of them drug smugglers and murderers. Oh, yeah, this character has quite a history that very few Americans know anything about. They’d rather watch Dancing with the Stars or troll for porn on the Internet while America is being invaded and the lives of good, decent people like Compean, Ramos and Hernandez are ruined. Unless these corrupt individuals in our government are investigated and their possible criminal activities brought to light, they will continue destroying the integrity and fairness of our legal system. If you think these are strong words, they’re about as civil as I can keep it for publication.
We need a special prosecutor to investigate the above cases, Sutton and Gonzalez and I don’t mean some political crony of Bush’s. We need an impartial grand master type lawyer from the private sector, perhaps one of the fine lawyers from the Thomas Moore Law Center. We need as many state legislators as possible to get in the face of their federal house member and counterfeit U.S. Senators and tell them in no uncertain terms that they must get off the dime and the campaign trail and start putting this country back together again and stop this invasion from Mexico. I can tell you if I served in the Texas State Legislature, I would be in Washington, DC, at the offices of every house member representing Texas and the office that foolish hen, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, raising hell.
To better understand how rotten and corrupt U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton is, you have to take the time to read these stories which are thoroughly researched and based on facts:
The House of Death. “When 12 bodies were found buried in the garden of a Mexican house, it seemed like a case of drug-linked killings. But the trail led to Washington and a cover-up that went right to the top.”
Ex-DEA El Paso Chief Slams U.S. Attorney Sutton Over “Murders Gov’t Could Have Prevented.†“A recently retired, high-ranking DEA official is calling on Congress to investigate the role played by a U.S. Attorney in the cover-up of an informant’s participation in mass murder in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.” This investigative column was done back in 2005. If these wastrels in Congress had been doing their job, Sutton would have been in jail and the three cases above would never have happened.
The House of Death. (Narco News) “U.S. Prosecutors Protect an Informant Who Killed Mexican Citizens, as Two DEA Agents Barely Escaped Alive”
Prosecutor had evidence against drug smuggler (Long list of columns at the bottom chronicling the Compean/Ramos travesty)
What can you do? Congressmen Ted Poe, Tom Tancredo, Bill Delahunt and Duncan Hunter are good places to start: Call their offices and thank them for their efforts on behalf of Compean and Ramos. (Although Rohrbacher has made political hay with his boasting about holding hearings, if you’ve read Patrick Briley’s thoroughly researched book, Rohrbacher should be under investigation for consorting with our known enemies; read the book free here.) Those four congressmen are part of the contingent in Congress (93 cosponsors; 89 Republicans, four Democrats) who have brought forth legislation for pardons. Forget calling Bush because he has clearly shown he feels nothing while innocent Americans like Compean, Ramos and Hernandez rot in prison. Ask the aforementioned as well as your congressman to push for a private sector special prosecutor to investigate Sutton and Gonzalez. Either we’re going to be a nation of laws or a lawless nation run by sycophants like Gonzalez who serves at the “pleasure” of George Bush.

The corrosion inside the Federal Department of Justice didn’t start with Gonzalez, it’s been cooking for decades. It’s out of control and what’s going on should concern those who work inside that agency to wonder when they will be the next lamb on the political altar of sacrifice or possibly railroaded into a federal prison because when the going gets tough, the insiders will eat their own with relish. The Federal Department of Justice from the top down, from the FBI to Treasury (IRS) is a rotten operation and I don’t see how any American could work there with any dignity. If it’s not violating the rights of Americans with unauthorized wiretapping and data base building, it’s murdering almost 100 innocent Americans at Waco with no one held accountable.

There is no honor in a paycheck that drips with the blood of innocents. Whatever credibility and respect DOJ may have enjoyed at one time is long gone to people like me who has spent 17 years following and investigating their wrong doing and cover ups like TWA Flight 800, Ruby Ridge, Waco, OKC and 911. And, shame on Congress after Congress for allowing this to deteriorate to the point where you now have U.S. Attorney’s like Johnny Sutton persecuting law enforcement while supporting major drug dealers who smuggle themselves and their poison across our borders.
Again I ask: Who is going to stop the USDOJ from their criminal activities? Please make those phone calls, even if you have to do it at lunch time.

IS IT TIME FOR A STREET FIGHT?
Â

Coach Dave Daubenmire
March 22, 2007
NewsWithViews.com
All talk no action. That is a phrase that fits most Christians. They say they are pro-life, they say they are tired of the moral degradation; they say they want to protect marriage, but it is hard to find any evidence that their talk is any more than jaw-jabbering.
The Internet is full of those who are pointing out what is wrong with America. Anyone with any discernment at all knows that America is in trouble. You don’t have to be a social scientist to realize that America is becoming a vast, moral wasteland, and that we are becoming slaves to un-elected government. You certainly know that if things continue the way they are going our children and grandchildren are in a world of hurt.
Some are banking on the Rapture. The escapism-theology has convinced many that there is no need to fight. Jesus is coming soon and He will rescue all us sheep from this evil world.
I don’t want to argue about it. All I know is that Jesus told us in John 9:4 “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.†Or how about this one, “occupy until I return†Luke 19:13.
The sun is still shining, so we must continue to work. If you believe Jesus can rescue you, what else can you believe Him to do?
Jesus told us in Matthew 13:18 “upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.†Isn’t it interesting that Jesus said the gates would not prevail AGAINST THE CHURCH? Not the Republican Party, not conservatism, not the Christian Coalition, but against THE CHURCH. There are certain battles mandated that the CHURCH must fight. A fighting-for-Truth Church? A storming-the-gates-of-Hell Church? Boy that doesn’t seem very Christ-like. Instead we have hired political-mercenaries to do the fighting for us. We spend most of our time begging evil men (politicians) to do what’s right.
Most folks will lament, “Well Coach, we just have to pray.†Want to know what I think? I think that is a cop-out. Sadly, most don’t really pray when they say they will, and for most the “let me pray about it†answer just gets them off of the hook. They don’t ever have to DO anything; they just hide behind their “I’ll pray about it” excuse.
It’s like I told a pastor-acquaintance of mine when he gave me that I’ll-have-to-pray-about-it line after I invited him to go to a school board meeting with me. “I already prayed, Pastor, and the Lord told me to tell you to come with me.†He didn’t come. I guess he must have a special private-line to the Lord.
Prayer is powerful, if we really do it. Jesus prayed. But He was a man of action. Isn’t it odd that most of his ministry was done on the streets? When He fed the 5000 it wasn’t in the safety of some mega-church edifice. Jesus took the Truth to the streets.
Our Father in heaven saw that the world was in a mess so He did something about it. God so loved the world that HE DID SOMETHING. We would do well to follow His example. But that is the problem. We want HIM to do it. He wants to empower US for the work.
The civil rights movement was launched when Dr. King and his followers took it to the streets. They didn’t just pray for freedom; they put their prayers into action. Prayer is like the electric wires along the highway. They are not the power; they are merely the conduit through which the power flows. Prayer, which is potential energy, becomes power, kinetic energy, when the one who prayers goes into action. Before He went to the cross Jesus prayed. Would you be free from your sins if He hadn’t followed His prayer with action? His prayers provided the power to do the work before Him.
Peter would never have walked on water if he had stayed in the boat. The water would never have been turned into wine unless someone had been obedient to “go and fill the water pots.†God rewards Faith. Action is the evidence of Faith.
Today’s evangelical church has lots of faith. Most teach that Jesus can make one healthy, wealthy, and happy. In fact, that is where much of the focus of the teaching is directed. “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.†You see, it is never a question of what Jesus can do; it is only a question of what you can believe. We have faith that He can forgive sins, we have faith that He can heal; we have faith that He can give one wealth, but we don’t have faith that He can do something about this mess-of-a-nation.
Why? Because to believe He can clean-up this cesspool would require action on our part. God works through people. It is more pleasant to ask for a financial blessing than to ask for courage to face the giants. No, we don’t lack faith, we lack courage…and desire.
So let’s try this. If it doesn’t work you’ll never hear me complain again.
If the Church really believes that God created our children and that we should “train them up in the way that they should go,†then our faith should lead to action.
Imagine if you will the Southern Baptist Convention issuing an order that all Christians remove their children from government schools. What if other Christian denominations followed suit? What if the folks in the pew obeyed the leadership? How long would it take for parents to once again get control of the education of our children? Instead, we beg Caesar for vouchers. Whose children are they? Let our children go!
Do you really think abortion is murder? Is all life sacred? Does God approve of abortion? Does God obey the Supreme Court? Let your walk match your talk.
What if the Pope ordered all American-Catholic churches closed until abortion was ended in America? What if he issued a mandate that in all cities where an abortion clinic was located, local parishes would be assigned a day in which they were to surround the death camps and pray without ceasing for the end of abortion? How long would it take to shut those abortuaries down if each day a different parish surrounded the hell-holes? Instead, we fight for pro-life judges. Our claims of being pro-life sound empty. If abortion is murder, then the CHURCH must stop it.
Do you think a values-free education is a good thing? Do you think our government is better without the acknowledgement of God? Tired of all of the evil legislation? We can stop it.
What if Focus on the Family, the American Family Association, the Family Research Council, and other national ministries joined together for a march on Washington? What if they encouraged their supporters to take a week’s-vacation and stage a sit-in right in the halls of Congress? What if they asked two million Christians, two hundred thousand at a time, to go to Washington and bombard the halls of Congress to do something about the lie of Separation of Church and State as currently practiced in America? Can you imagine 200,000 Christians a week for 10 weeks turning up the heat in Washington? Instead we sign on-line petitions and seek larger donations for political causes. We know Christian values are what made this nation great and that they are our only hope for a return to sanity. But we give lip service, when we need foot service.
Isn’t it strange that Dr. King led much of the civil rights movement from jail? His willingness to suffer inspired others. How many members of the National Association of Evangelicals are willing to go to jail for what they believe in? Paul wrote much of the New Testament from behind bars because of his witness for Truth. Today’s leaders want to fight global warming and be tolerant. Keep sitting on your butt and I promise the globe is going to get warm!

But here is the Truth. We lack the courage and the desire to do it. Our leadership is not willing to take the steps necessary to clearly speak for Christ. They have a foot in both worlds, they are serving God and mammon, they are double-minded and without vision. They are trusting in political parties, dumping millions of God’s dollars into political action, praying some politician will have the courage to do what they will not.
In a time when we need God’s men, the Church is looking to hire the States’ men.
Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Americans used to love to win. Christians used to love to fight. Today we seek compromise and comfort. “Where there is a will there is a way.†Our leaders lack the will. No will, no way.
I’m going to Lexington. Seventy-seven common Minutemen changed the world. God can do it again. It’s time for a street fight.

Senate President Therese Murray, who supported an effort last fall to kill a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage without a vote, said yesterday that she will use her power as the new leader of the Senate and of the Constitutional Convention to ensure that lawmakers take an up-or-down vote on the amendment. - Boston Globe Article
I recently mentioned on my blog of nice to have Beacon Hill finally pledge to uphold our republican form of government at least allow a vote on the issue of homosexual marriage. Yet, after writing that short piece, I began to wonder - are we ready? The fight is now on. Are God’s people ready to defend God’s law? Let’s be honest, this issue not merely about traditional marriage or about mere definition. The question is, are we as a people, willing to recognize God’s sovereign right to define this institution (or any institution) as He sees fit. The fact is, the laws of God are immutable, despite what man may think or do. Marriage is between and man and women because this is what God has declared (Genesis 2:15-25). That really is the end of the debate. We are not merely fighting about a definition - that is fact is forever settled in Heaven. We are in essence fighting about recognizing God’s sovereign authority over the affairs of men. Are we ready for this fight?
We live in a pluralistic society that promotes tolerance as its number one virtue. Too often, as Christians, we are tempted to pander to secular society by changing our language and softening our tone. Traditional marriage has become our battle cry, not Biblical marriage. Perhaps in the political realm this is needed to an extent, but can I admonish all reading this blog to remember what really is at stake here? We will never solve this problem of homosexual marriage by only holding up signs, signing petitions and casting votes., thought I believe all those things to be right and necessary. The real battle is for the soul. Only the gospel of Jesus Christ and change the heart.
Homosexual marriage is a symptom of a larger problem. That problem is society’s abandonment of God. Yes, let’s sound the alarm, rally the troops and get the marriage amendment on the ballot here in Massachusetts. Let’s go ahead and call our representatives, hold our signs and convince all of the necessity of defeating this evil. However, let us with twice as much effort, passion and prayer seek to glorify God and lift high His royal banner. Let all who see and hear understand our message is not one of hate or exclusion but one of loyalty, worship and allegiance to a much higher and more worthy Power. Let us not be ashamed of our real agenda, the recognition of God’s Law and His sovereign right to define marriage. The truth is, God has this right whether we recognize it or not. So let this truth give a great boldness in our proclamation of the truth.

Â
It is no hyperbole to say that conservatives throughout America are extremely disappointed and disillusioned with the national Republican Party. This discouragement is only deepened as they peruse the field of prominent candidates being trotted out as “frontrunners.”
Â
It appears that conservatives will be asked to choose between the chameleon Mitt Romney, the pro-amnesty-for-illegal-aliens John McCain, and philanderers Newt Gingrich and Rudy Giuliani. A few conservatives seem slightly excited that former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson is mulling entrance into the presidential race. However, a closer inspection of his voting record finds him to be just another globalist neocon, who would do little to change things in Washington, D.C. For example, Americans for Better Immigration gives him a puny career grade of “C.”
Â
The Republican Party’s unwillingness to advance a genuine conservative has left millions of grassroots Republicans on the verge of leaving the GOP. For example, a poll at the recent CPAC meeting found the “overwhelming majority of conservatives displeased with the leadership of the Republican Party, and most conservatives scowl at the thought of having to vote for Rudoph Giuliani, John McCain, or Mitt Romney.”
Â
In fact, the displeasure of grassroots conservatives with the GOP manifested itself in the creation of the Conservative Exodus Project (CEP), which was formed immediately following the recent CPAC meeting. According to organizers, CEP “is a vehicle for conservatives to leave the GOP if a real conservative presidential candidate is not chosen in 2008.” Members pledge either to not vote, or to vote third party (e.g. Constitution Party).
Â
CEP adherents use a fivefold litmus test to reveal a “real conservative.” 1) He must oppose the “third-world invasion of the United States and reject amnesty and any path to citizenship for illegals.” 2) He must “oppose free trade, the support of which has become an ideological suicide pact.” 3) He must be a “moral candidate, critical of secularism, who embodies the virtues of the Christian Western tradition.” 4) He must oppose the “illegal neocon war in Iraq.” 5) He must “wish to see big government reduced in size-in all three branches-and for many offices and functions to be returned to the states, where they Constitutionally belong.”
Â
Proponents of the CEP make the following commitment: “Unless the above criteria are met, we pledge to stay home or vote third-party in 2008.”
Â
To which I say, Hallelujah! Not to the staying home part, but to the voting third-party part.
Â
It is past time for conservatives to admit that the national Republican Party has crossed the point of no return and has no intention of nominating a genuine conservative for president. The GOP has become nothing more than a big-government, no-borders, war party. If true conservatives are going to have a voice in Washington politics, it will have to come through an independent party.
Â
That is not to say that there are not genuine conservatives in the GOP presidential race. Congressman Ron Paul of Texas embodies everything the CEP is looking for. Beyond that, if he should miraculously win the nomination, he would, no doubt, receive broad support in the general election. He would solidify the conservative base of the GOP and would be very popular among independents, libertarians, and even conservative Democrats.
Â
The problem is, the GOP leadership, including the money-machine, refuses to support the independent-minded Ron Paul. They want another puppet to carry out the marching orders of their CFR cronies. However, if rank and file Republicans, and if Jerry Falwell, James Dobson, and other leaders of the Religious Right, would support Ron Paul, the globalist elitists within the GOP could be defeated.
Â
Absent a Ron Paul nomination, true conservatives will have nowhere to go next year, except to a third party. In fact, it is my prayer that if Paul does not obtain the Republican nomination, he would lead the exodus to the Constitution Party.
Â
It is time for conservatives to do more than hold their noses and vote for the “lesser of two evils.” It is time for them to vote their principles and their conscience. It is time to only support genuine conservatives, even if that means such candidates can only be found in a third party.
Â
It’s too late for business-as-usual. We need a revolution! And thanks to the wisdom, sagacity, and foresight of America’s Founding Fathers, we have a system in place whereby the American people can change their government anytime they choose to do so. I pray 2008 will be the year they choose to do so.

Viewpoint
Constitution Party of Florida
February 19, 2007
On this President’s Day, let us quote our first and most honored President once again as we seek some logic out of all that is occurring today in America. At the Constitutional Convention, on May 14, 1787, George Washington, who had been unanimously elected as president of the Convention, rose and admonished the delegates: “If to please the people, we offer what we ourselves disapprove, how can we afterward defend our work? Let us raise a standard to which the wise and the honest can repair; the event is in the Hand of God.”
The Constitution that resulted from the deliberations of those men in Philadelphia has guided our nation for over 200 years as the Republic that has been most admired for providing “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” as proposed in our Declaration of Independence, as well as “liberty and justice for all,” as stated in our Pledge of Allegiance.Â
Unfortunately, in our nation today, these provisions are being challenged and discredited. Our Constitution has been demoted to ”a piece of paper,” slandered, not by some foreign invader, but by our own president. President Bush has repeatedly overridden our laws and Constitution with signing statements professing himself to be above the law as the “Commander in Chief.” .
On October 17, 2006, President Bush signed into law two “acts of tyranny” as reported by Dr. Daneen G. Peterson in December. “The first was a public signing of the ‘Military Commissions Act of 2006′ which suspended habeas corpus allowing the president to declare you an ‘enemy combatant’ and end your rights to seek legal or judicial relief from unlawful imprisonment.” The second act of tyranny was his signing of the “John Warner National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2007″ which “essentially eliminates the protections of the Posse Comitatus Act and re-wrote the Insurrection Act” which “will allow the president to declare a ‘public emergency’ and take control of state-based National Guard units without the consent of the governor or local authorities, in order to ’suppress public disorder’!”
In this brief report, we will comment on the first of these signings, the Military Commissions Act of 2006. Our U.S. Constitution reads: “The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it” (Art. 1, Sec. 9). What is habeas corpus? It is Latin for “you have the body” [as proof]. A writ, order or command, “is a judicial mandate to a prison official ordering that an inmate be brought to the court so it can be determined whether or not that person is imprisoned lawfully and whether or not he should be released from custody.”
The writ safeguards our freedom against actions of states concerning our lawful or unlawful imprisonment and whether or not a person should be released.Â
Alexander Hamilton wrote in The Federalist No. 84: “The establishment of the writ of habeas corpus [and two other constitutional provisions] are perhaps greater securities to liberty than any it [the Constitution] contains.”
James Madison, in his Notes of Debates in the Federal Convention of 1787, wrote: “Mr. [John} Rutledge [of South Carolina] was for declaring the Habeas Corpus inviolable [safe from assault or trespass]. He did not conceive that a suspension could ever be necessary at the same time through all the States.”
Americans may not realize what a serious infringement this act is upon our constitutional rights. Many may not know about this act at all. Many will not care unless they are unlawfully imprisoned and find that they have lost rights that previously were protected by the Constitution.
Dr. Peterson quoted Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley (George Washington University): “The Congress just gave the president despotic powers and you could hear a yawn across the country. People clearly don’t realize what a fundamental change it is about who we are as a country. What happened today changed us. And I’m not too sure we’re going to change back anytime soon.” He called it “a time of shame” which “essentially revokes over 200 years of American principles and values.”
Adding insult to injury, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, on January 18, “insisted, in an exchange with Senator Arlen Specter (R.-PA), ‘there is no express grant of habeas in the Constitution. There is a prohibition against taking it away. But it’s never been the case…’” (The New American, 2/19/07). The article declared that this is “one of the most chilling examples to date of the Bush administration’s callous and dangerous disregard for fundamental rights.” And concluded: “Fortunately, neither the attorney general nor the president himself has the ability to legally suspend habeas corpus. That power is vested solely in Congress and not in the presidency.”
What is the American citizen and voter to do? We MUST get more informed, involved, and vocal. We of the Constitution Party are pledged to inform and to inspire patriotic Americans to get involved in their government through vocal and graphic means, and through the action of the ballot box. We of the Constitution Party of Florida continually seek vigorous candidates who are determined to throw the rascals out of office who fail to honor and support our cherished United States Constitution.
The Lord willing, our party will have a presidential candidate next year who will make known our Constitutional Limited government stand and, when elected, will protect our God-given rights.  We also expect to have candidates for various State offices. The citizen who insists on voting for “the lesser of two evils” will never change the political climate. “To change the future we must disturb the present.” I challenge every reader to get on board with a party that is determined to “Preserve our Nation for the Next Generation.”

When responding to my pleas for Christians to get involved in helping to save the liberty and independence of these United States, I hear so many say, “All we can do is pray and win souls. After all, this is the fulfillment of prophecy, and Jesus is coming soon.” When I hear Christians say those words, I want to scream.
Â
Regardless of when Christ returns, He gave us clear instructions to “Occupy till I come.” To use the coming of Christ as an excuse to passively allow today’s neocons, liberals, and globalists to undermine and destroy our country’s heritage and future is inexcusable.
Â
With a desire to encourage Christians to realize their responsibility and, yes, obligation, to aggressively resist those forces working to turn America into Huxley’s Brave New World (which is nothing more than the modern attempt to create the ancient Tower of Babel), I recently preached a message entitled “Occupy Till I Come.” Interestingly enough, Jesus spoke those words upon hearing that the disciples expected Him to immediately set up His Kingdom.
Â
In other words, Jesus was telling the disciples that, regardless of when He would establish His Kingdom on the earth, they had a job to do! That message still holds true for Christians today.

Kennedy’s Amnesty Albatross
By Steven E. Moran, Jr.
March 14, 2007
Â
The raid that took place on March 6th at the Bianco factory was directed at illegal aliens, however; the psychological raid that commenced thereafter has been directed at the legal taxpaying Americans residing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The ‘smoke and mirror show’ that took place at the Bianco factory was the launching pad for treasonous anti-American politicians like John Kerry, Teddy Kennedy, and you know the rest. Acting on cue from the performance of I.C.E., our shameless politicians took to the stage and began their propaganda campaign to exploit the hardship caused to families of criminals who are arrested for breaking the law. This well orchestrated attempt at appealing to the hearts of politically correct, America hating, bleeding liberals,’ comes at a peculiar time.
The diversion created by the Bianco bust has allowed the Kennedy-McCain Amnesty plan to metastasize without any public dissent. In the next few weeks, our very own socialist Senator, Ted Kennedy, and Presidential Candidate/Senator John ‘insane’ McCain will collaborate with President Bush in presenting their Amnesty plan to Congress. The plan will allow for the 20 - 28 million illegal aliens presently in this country to get a free pass. They will be rewarded with jobs, most wiring a significant portion of earnings back to Mexico. They will be rewarded with all the social services of legal, hard-working, tax-paying Americans. They will be rewarded with Social Security upon retirement even while they may not have worked here legally; we generous Americans are going to allow them to use their earnings from Mexico and the U.S. to calculate their SSI entitlement.
Should we be surprised that our very own Senator Kennedy is at the forefront of this ‘amnesty albatross?’ Looking at his track record on border security and immigration, this is not the first, but rather the third time, our treasonous Senator has betrayed his country and state. In 1965 it was Senator Kennedy who ‘made us proud’ with the Immigration Reform Act that flooded the gates with illegal immigrants. In 1986 he was at it again, engineering the IRCA amnesty fiasco. Within two years of the IRCA being passed, we absorbed 3.4 million people, more than three times the 1.1 million people Senator Kennedy promised would be allowed to enjoy life in America after deliberately breaking our laws. At that time Senator Kennedy also promised that the 1986 Amnesty pass granted to illegal aliens would include strict border controls and better immigration enforcement inside the U.S. Of course none of that happened or we wouldn’t have 28 million illegal aliens in our country right now. So what is Teddy doing for an encore? Lies, lies, and more lies. In his latest ‘amnesty albatross’ proposal, he now contends that there are only 12 million illegal aliens now in our country. I guess he feels misstating the numbers to only 12 million instead of the actual 28 million will be an easier sell to Americans, and won’t reflect so poorly on his 1986 lies of border security, enforcement, etc. His intentional misleading is further proven by a 2005 Bear-Stearns Report which revealed 20 million illegal aliens in the country. That report is two years old, so if you believe approximately 8 million illegal aliens that entered this country in violation of the law, have since gotten tired of the free medical care, free education, and the other handouts they enjoy, decided to up and leave, then Senator Kennedy’s numbers may seem believable to you.
Even if you use the false number of 12 million illegal aliens purported by Kennedy, a Center for Immigration Studies conducted by Dr. Steve Camarata reveals a cost of $843 Billion in social services, medical care, education, school breakfast, prison, insurance rates, and a plethora of other costs that we will never recoup in the taxes and other fees these illegal aliens may begin to pay over their lifetimes.
Our career Senator from Massachusetts, the Dishonorable socialist Ted Kennedy, has been complicit in aiding and abetting the criminals who enter this country in violation of our laws for the last forty-two years. As an elected official he has had the help of the voters in Massachusetts. For, if he were not elected, he would not have been able to play such a prominent role in the illegal alien invasion of our sovereign country.
So, while I listen to the outrage of citizens from the Commonwealth on talk radio, and read the ‘blame game’ articles in the newspaper, it is poignantly clear that some of that blame must fall upon us, “We the People” of the
Â
Â
Â
Commonwealth. While it is undeniable, politicians are wrongfully giving these illegal aliens a free pass; just as wrongful have we been, in giving our politicians a free pass. It calls to mind the wise words of Plato, when he said; “The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”
In all things, we do indeed reap what we sow.
Yours In Liberty,
Steve

Â
In this column last week, I asked the question, Should President George W. Bush be impeached? The specific precursor for that question was the guilty verdict of former White House insider Lewis “Scooter” Libby. In my mind, that trial and subsequent conviction demonstrated that there is more than enough circumstantial evidence to warrant a thorough investigation into whether President Bush willfully manipulated evidence regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) in Iraq and whether he deliberately lied to the American people in order to justify a pre-determined plan to launch a preemptive attack on that country.
Â
In all the years of writing this column, I cannot recall one that elicited more response, positive and negative. Furthermore, respondents were split evenly down the middle. Half wanted to enshrine my face on Mount Rushmore, while the other half wanted to personally cast me into the lake of fire.
Â
A brief digression regarding the WMD matter is the critically important question as to whether the White House believed Saddam Hussein had WMD CAPABLE OF THREATENING THE UNITED STATES. Emphasis is added on purpose, as most of the “Of-course-Iraq-had-WMD” crowd seem to equate Hussein’s use of intermediate WMD against the Kurds with the ability to pose a “clear and present danger” to the United States. The two are not remotely related.
Â
Please don’t misunderstand me. I could not care less that Saddam Hussein is dead. He died the way most dictators die. He lived by the sword; he died by the sword. Or, by the rope, actually.
Â
However, please remember that Saddam Hussein killed the Kurds because they staged a violent insurrection against his reign. What do you think George Bush would do if a group of people violently tried to oust him from power? I seem to recall a President and Attorney General sending tanks and helicopter gun ships against mostly old men, women, and children outside Waco, Texas, a few years back. And those poor folks had no intention of overthrowing the Texas capital, much less Washington, D.C.
Â
The relevant question is not, Did Iraq have WMD, but did they have WMD CAPABLE OF THREATENING THE UNITED STATES? Everyone now knows the answer to that question is, no, it did not. But what we don’t know is, When did President Bush know the answer to that question?
Â
If our President knew that Iraq did not pose a “clear and present danger” to the security of the United States, and if he deliberately deceived the American people and sent more than 3,000 of America’s finest to their deaths for ulterior motives (whatever they were), the man is certainly guilty of “high crimes” and should be impeached, at the very least.
Â
Frankly, I don’t know the answer to that question, and I don’t know anyone who does (outside Bush and his inner circle). Therefore, I stand behind my initial statement that we need a thorough investigation to find out the truth. It would seem to me that, regardless of where each of us falls down politically, we would want to know the answer to that question. Unless we are afraid of the truth, of course.
Â
All of that aside, there is one grievance that is sticking like a bone in my throat about this administration: its careless disregard for the security of our national borders. President Bush, along with Senators Ted Kennedy and John McCain, are in the process of turning America into a third world country. Their attempt to provide amnesty to tens of millions of illegal aliens and to virtually vanquish our national borders is nothing short of criminal. As President, Mr. Bush has taken it even further than that.
Â
Without congressional oversight or knowledge, President Bush committed the United States to a trilateral union with Mexico and Canada. He put his stamp of approval upon a mammoth NAFTA superhighway. He has given the green light for thousands of Mexican trucks to enter the United States. He has turned his back on American Border Patrol agents who were simply trying to enforce our country’s immigration laws. And he has done all this with impunity.
Â
What makes President Bush’s policy of open borders even more egregious is the argument that some Bush apologists make by saying that Iraq’s limited WMD could be snuck into the United States, and, therefore, we had to invade Iraq. Well, duh! If President Bush really believed that Iraq was going to smuggle WMD into America, why did he not close the borders?
Â
Furthermore, countries that most certainly do have WMD capable of threatening the United States include Russia and China. Does anyone (George W. Bush included) believe we should invade those countries? The fact is, if terrorists from any country have smuggled WMD into the U.S., we can thank President Bush and his fellow travelers in Congress for opening the door.
Â
The reason that Congress is unwilling to stop President Bush on the open borders issue is because Democrats and Republicans alike are on the take. Democrats are appeasing their radical, multiculturalist cronies and Republicans are appeasing their Chamber of Commerce sugar daddies. Neither the Jackasses nor the Pachyderms give a flip about what is best for middle-class America or whether what they are doing will eventually destroy the sovereignty and independence of our country.
Â
With or without Iraq, President Bush is a disaster. And Congress (with either party in charge) is no better. If we lived in the old days, we would not be talking about impeachment, we would be grabbing the tar and feathers.
