What would Christmas be like for America without Chinese-made products? Why not try? We’ve been asking readers and listeners for many months to stop buying “Made in China.” Now when we tell storekeepers that we don’t touch these products and haven’t for years, we’re getting more favorable responses like, “I don’t blame you. You’re right.”
Could children have a happy Christmas without Chinese-made toys? Now that Americans have been alerted to the fact that many of these toys have been found to be coated with lead-based paints that could be fatal if ingested, this might just be the year that parents will decide that Christmas toys made in China are just not worth the risk.
Someone has said that the more expensive the toy, the more likely the child is to play with the box it came in. Where did we ever get the idea that children must have a dozen or more factory-made toys at Christmas in order to enjoy the day? Maybe some innovative parents could even make something very special for their children for Christmas. Maybe some mothers could sew something very special for her child at Christmas. My wife made an Indian costume for her granddaughter a while back and excited the little girl to no end—later she even won a contest in a parade when she wore it.
What if you were poor like some of us were and Christmas meant receiving some necessary item of new clothing and perhaps one game from a relative? It was still a very special day, for the meaning of the day, the birthday of the Savior, not just gifts, made it the most special day of the year. Festivities included Christmas carols, Christmas Eve church service, decorations, and dinner with the family—aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
Lest we forget, we reported earlier on products coming out of Communist Red China that have been found to be dangerous to the life and health of the users in various countries. Some years ago, over 70 children died in Haiti. Through much investigation, Americans operating through the Centers for Disease Control, finally found that cough medicine from China was the cause of the deaths. Earlier this year, 6,000 tubes of Chinese imported toothpaste were seized in Nicaragua after reports that 51 Panamanians had died from the use of this toothpaste containing ethylene glycol.
Everyone heard of the Mattel toy recall a short time ago. Nine million Chinese-imported Batman, Barbie, and Polly Pocket toys were recalled by that company because of the potential danger to health of children from tiny magnets and lead paint. A million and a half Fisher Price infant toys made in China were recalled for the lead paint threat to health. There have been many reports exposing contaminated Red Chinese imports, from pet foods which are suspect in the deaths of thousands of animals, to tooth paste, medicine, vegetable protein, vitamins, tea leaves and tainted honey.
It’s past time that Americans recognize: First, that Communist China is NOT a friend but have declared that we are their worst enemy who must be destroyed; Second, that standards of production of foods, toothpaste, or whatever in China are not equivalent to those of the United States; and Third, the extreme trade imbalance between the U.S. and China is leading to the ultimate showdown with the determined Communists to overthrow us financially as well as militarily.
Badly needed for American leadership—wisdom and vision to understand the dangers we face. This is the Constitution Party’s continued plea as we face a very crucial election year in 2008. Why not join us?

I was raised in Burlington and still reside there with my wife and three children. I graduated from Shawsheen Valley Tech in 1984. I have obtained an associate degree in Theology from the Open Bible Institute. At 41, I have been the owner and operator of my business for the last 17 years. I have also been evolved in business consulting since 1998. Among other opportunities, I am currently building a base business for Caregiver Plus that focuses on freedoms and independence for the elderly.
I am running for the office of state Senate due to the impact that position has on our freedom, rights and liberty. The significance that this position has on the future of my grandchildren cannot be ignored any longer. The reason I have chosen to run with the Constitution Party is because of what they stand for. They believe in the right to life, liberty, property and the pursuit of happiness. Their standards and truths are the very foundation of our once great nation. I was encouraged to run with one of the other parties, for me there was no other choice.
People who know me, know that I have been successful in sports, business and in my personal life. In business my wife and I have been voted best in the area countless times and one of the best in the country. You may be wondering what political experience do I have? I have not held any political office as of yet. My back has never been up against the wall before. I have no experience raising your taxes. I also have no experience in increasing regulations and controls.
I, Thomas Fallon, am an American through and through. My allegiance is to the Constitution, the Bill of rights, my family, my country and my God. The gap between, we the people and the State House is growing day by day, decision by decision. I will stand in that gap, I will protect the innocent, I will stand for traditional family values. George Washington said during his second inaugural address “to remove religious and moral values from society is to remove the very things that made America a great nation.” I will stand in the gap for the great people of this district.
Thomas Jefferson said “Educate and inform the whole mass of people… they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberties.” The voice of the people has been silent for far to long.
If the prospect of your freedom, rights and liberties mean anything to you, if you think things have gotten out of hand and you were waiting for the next great Democrat or the next great Republican to come, only to end up disappointed once again. My name is Thomas Fallon. I am a member of the Constitution Party. Elect me to proudly represent you, my friends and neighbors.

Massachusetts–Calls Needed to Oppose Anti-Spanking Bill
Dear HSLDA Members and Friends,
Representative Jay Kaufmann has introduced an act–House Bill 3922–to prohibit corporal punishment. The bill is scheduled for a hearing TOMORROW, Wednesday November 28, in the Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities. The bill would make it unlawful for parents to use corporal discipline in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It would also create a presumption that any spanking is child abuse and neglect.
Representative Kaufmann asserts that his bill is designed to “eliminate the use of corporal punishment to discipline children, because of the emotional harm and risks of bodily harm associated with corporal punishment of children.” To Representative Kaufmann, all spanking is, by definition, child abuse. He apparently believes that “good parents” never spank their children, that only “bad parents” do, and therefore that “good parents” do not need to be worried about House Bill 3922.
House Bill 3922 would amend Chapter 119, section 51B of the General Laws, which currently deals with abuse and neglect. If this bill passes, any parent who uses loving and appropriate corporal discipline would be presumed to be abusive or neglectful. This is already a problem in Massachusetts because of the Department of Social Services’s policy that treats any report of spanking as presumptively abusive or neglectful. In one recent case, a DSS worker told a parent that because her child did not like spanking, the parent was not acting in the child’s best interests. House Bill 3922 would make these types of determinations even more common than they currently are, and such determinations can lead to juvenile court proceedings for the care and protection of children, and even temporary or permanent loss of child custody.
Please take the following actions to oppose this legislation.
ACTION REQUESTED:
1) CALL TODAY (Preferably before 4:00 p.m.) the members of the Joint Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities according to the first letter of your last name as indicated in the alphabetized list below.
2) CALL your representative. (You can find your representative’s office phone and fax numbers, and address by entering your 9-digit ZIP code in HSLDA’s Legislative Toolbox at http://capwiz.com/hslda, or by calling the office in your county that handles voter registration.)
In your own words, give them the following message:
“Please vote no on House Bill 3922 (by Kaufmann). House Bill 3922 would create a presumption that parents who use a small paddle or similar object when lovingly spanking their child to be guilty of child abuse or neglect. House Bill 3922 is unnecessary. Children are already protected from all forms of true child abuse in current law.” (If time permits when you call, you may want to be ready to use one of the “Opposition Points to Share with Legislators”–see below–in addition to the suggested “script” above.)
You do not need to identify yourself as a homeschooler. This legislation will affect all parents in Massachusetts.

OPPOSITION POINTS TO SHARE WITH LEGISLATORS
The best credible research has shown that non-abusive spanking, when used to back up other disciplinary methods, has been effective in curbing antisocial behavior in children as they grow up.
(1) In fact, there is no credible research that backs up House Bill 3922’s assertions that spanking is linked to emotional harm or risk of bodily harm.
(2) Diana Baumrind, Ph.D., of the University of California found that children who are occasionally spanked score higher on measures of adjustment than children who have never been spanked.
(3) According to Robert E. Larzelere, Ph.D., of Oklahoma State University, 10 years after Sweden’s ban on spanking was instituted, child abuse had increased instead of decreasing.
(4) House Bill 3922 defies all common sense and history. There is no state that forbids the use of an object for spanking by parents. This form of discipline, when reasonably administered, has been accepted by every generation of Americans, including Massachusetts citizens. According to a national ABC News opinion poll, over one half of the persons interviewed believe that a reasonable spanking to the buttocks is appropriate as a method of child discipline and close to one half of parents with minor children at home spank their children

Constitution Party of Florida
November 24, 2007
Opposition to war is generally considered the position of the left, though many of us on the right are now utterly opposed for good reasons. Let me state our reasoning and to mention some recent developments and results of America’s extensive wars.
First, it has been accurately stated that we are involved in an unconstitutional, undeclared war in Iraq. Congress alone has the authority to declare war and, since World War II, America has yet to be involved in an officially declared war. In December 2005, President Bush stated: “I am responsible for the decision to go into Iraq,” while he had no such authority and Iraq had not attacked us.
Secondly, Mr. Bush, in going to war with Iraq, was, by his own admission, “meeting the terms of the U.N. Security Council resolution.” The U.N. had issued no resolution authorizing a military invasion. But the president was obviously concerned more about the U.N. than about the U.S. Constitution.
Thirdly, Americans were warned by our wise Founding Fathers not to be entangled with the affairs of foreign nations, not to be policemen of the world, but to go to war only to defend our country. John Quincy Adams stated, “America goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy.” By involvement, we may fail to be extricated and become occupiers of nations indefinitely at great cost in lives and finances.
The Constitution Party is opposed to the continuation of interventionist policy by either party, with that policy’s capacity to involve our country in repeated wars. “We should be the friend of liberty everywhere, but the guarantor and provisioner of ours alone.” (2004 Platform, pp. 12, 21).
As the Iraq war continues toward its fifth year with no end in sight, and the Bush administration reportedly poised to attack another nation, Iran, which has not attacked the U.S., isn’t it time that Americans should storm Congress to reign in an administration which can truly be called imperialistic?
Senator Robert Byrd, in resisting more funding for Iraq requested for years to come, responded: “The president and his supporters claim that we’re now finally on the cusp of progress and that we must continue to stay the course. Call me a skeptic, but we have heard this tune before.” With America on the brink of fiscal despair, with the Euro gaining prominence in the world, with our currency being upheld only by printing billions of dollars, we ask: How can the U.S. continue to finance war in foreign countries? And when will we begin to defend our country from invasion across our borders—Where’s the fence?
Further, where will America get the troops to both defend our nation and to invade and occupy foreign nations? We know that State militia personnel have been required to serve overseas, that troops have been ordered to return to duty in Iraq two or three times, that the administration is recycling our military in order to avoid the unpopularity of a draft.
Now we read the shocking reports of our “Mercenary Army.” (The New American, 11/26/07). Both here and abroad, the U.S. is using foreign mercenaries through granting citizenship to some 32,500 foreign soldiers. Since 2002, when the president issued an executive order offering fast track citizenship to foreigners who agree to fight for the U.S., about 8,000 non-Americans have joined the U.S. military every year. The writer indicates that these foreigners are pledging allegiance to an interventionist government, not the government that is responsible to protect their own homes and towns, as was planned by our Founders.
What of the terrible cost to our nation of the loss of our young men and women in combat? About 4,000 have now been killed in Iraq and an estimated 26,000 wounded. A young medic from Jupiter was severely injured in Iraq in an ambush. He has shrapnel imbedded in his face and head, a shattered left arm and the loss of two fingers, including his thumb. Others have been pictured who lost their sight, legs, and arms. USA Today reported that at least five U.S. servicemen have lost their lives in Iraq after throwing themselves on live hand grenades to protect their fellow troops.
Those who promote war and are never required to enter into combat should be made to review these terrible results of war and to personally visit with victims’ families. One of our government leaders once brazenly stated that these men are paid to do their jobs. We would ask, “Would you like your own children to go into battle in Afghanistan, Iraq, or Iran?”
Proverbs 28:2 states: “For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.” We of the Constitution Party trust and pray that many men of understanding may step forward and be elected to offices in our nation in the 2008 election cycle before our nation drifts further into fateful transgression.

PRESS RELEASE:
Americans Give Thanks US Not Limited To Two Parties
More Polls Show Voters Weary Of DC Control Freaks As Party Loyalty Tanks
Lancaster, PA: A record number of Americans say most members of Congress do not deserve to be re-elected, according to the latest CNN/Opinion Research Corp poll . The survey shows voter disdain for those in power in both controlling parties has grown more widespread than ever before.
America’s fastest-growing and largest third party based on voter registration, (Ballot Access News), the Constitution Party, cites this poll along with the recent Princeton Research Associates/ Newsweek survey this week showing 54% of respondents say the U.S. should have another major party from which to choose their elected officials.
“For months we’ve seen average Americans weighing in on this issue and it’s plain - the ‘throw the bums out’ sentiment is spreading”, said Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer.
Clymer referenced other recent surveys like Zogby and Rasmussen which show growing discontent with both parties in power.
“You don’t have to be a political analyst to understand what’s happening. The prevailing ill-will is going to drop politics on its head. Frankly, it won’t be at all surprising to see Americans turn their backs on DC insiders when they choose their next president and members of congress”, Clymer predicted.
According to CNN’s polling director, Keating Holland, “The public seems to be concentrating its wrath on the GOP”. CNN’s survey showed just 38 percent say that Republican members of Congress should be re-elected. Fifty percent say that Democrats in Congress deserve to be re-elected.
“The Constitution Party’s been welcoming an influx of voters who had been fiercely loyal to the GOP. Democrats as well cannot stomach the betrayal anymore. On issues like illegal immigration, presidential power-grabs, endless unconstitutional wars and loss of American jobs, it’s safe to say we’re witnessing major defections from both of the establishment parties”, Clymer noted.

Special Election on December 11, 2007!
There is one more election of interest for the Constitution Party in 2007, before it sets its sights on the 2008 campaign: the 4th Middlesex District State Senate Special Election in Massachusetts, on the unlikely date of December 11, 2007.
Voters aren’t generally accustomed to going to the polls in December, but in the 4th Middlesex District in Massachusetts they are being asked to do exactly that in order to choose a new State Senator. The Constitution Party is ably represented in this race by Tom Fallon, age 41, of Burlington, MA.
Please visit Tom’s campaign website at: http://tomfallon.wordpress.com/. At the top you will find his statement, printed in the Woburn Advocate, wherein he explains why he is running for office. Just below that you will read about how you can assist Tom’s Constitution Party campaign for State Senate. Tom Fallon is running a very active campaign and he deserves the support of every Constitution Party member and supporter across the country. Even a contribution of $5 or $10 will go a long way in helping Tom get his signs and literature in front of every voter in the district by election day.
Let’s give the Constitution Party a real jump start into the crucial 2008 election year by supporting Tom Fallon for State Senate in the 4th Middlesex District in Massachusetts! Tom would, no doubt, also appreciate your thoughts, prayers and good wishes as he carries the Constitution Party banner in this last election of 2007!

Dear Friend of the Constitution Party,
Did you know that you won’t be able to cast your vote for the Constitution Party presidential candidate unless he is listed on the ballot on Election Day?
And are you aware that gaining ballot access requires collecting thousands upon thousands of signatures on petitions all across the country?
I am writing to you today to urgently remind you that we must work NOW to gain ballot lines.
The Constitution Party may well be the only party running a truly constitutional candidate for President past the primaries, and I need your help to ensure that voters in every state have the option to vote for our candidate.
Since many of you heard from me last we have started collecting signatures in Ohio, but there are five additional states in which we must start ballot access this year, in 2007 - Arizona, Kansas, Hawaii, Maryland, and Wyoming.
Time is critical, and frankly I’m concerned. Most states can’t be started until 2008 and then the deadlines come fast and furious. We can’t risk losing any states by waiting until the last minute! We absolutely must work to qualify every state we can this year.
But the deck is stacked against us. To qualify in these six states means collecting almost 85,000 signatures.
Our volunteers alone can’t collect that many signatures. We must have the funds to hire professional petition circulators in these states and that will cost over $150,000.
Will you help me put this funding in place by clicking here to make a contribution?
One look at the major party presidential front-runners reminds us that at no time has the danger to our freedom and values been greater, or the price for inaction been higher.
Almost nowhere in Washington are policies held up to Constitutional scrutiny.
Virtually every principle articulated in our Constitution and Bill of Rights has been turned on its head by the Bush administration and Congressional Republicans and Democrats.
And polls show that more Americans than ever are fed up - and ready for a third party. A Zogby.com poll reveals overwhelming voter dissatisfaction with the two parties currently controlling government. ( http://zogby.com/news/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1332)
Early ballot access in as many states as we can afford may allow us to entice a candidate like Ron Paul or Tom Tancredo to continue their race beyond the primaries by seeking the Constitution Party nomination.
I appeal to you to once again help the Constitution Party by CLICKING HERE to make a contribution that will help me in the essential job of providing a political alternative to the Republicans and Democrats.
I have professional circulators lined up to help us, but we have a no-debt policy, and my commitment to it won’t allow me to start them until we have the money to pay them. So you can see why I so urgently need your contribution right away.
It’s up to us. Together, we can return our country to the principles that built this great Republic.
Yours for Liberty,
James N. Clymer, National Chairman
Your contribution is critical to our effort to gain ballot access in Arizona, Kansas, Hawaii, Maryland, Ohio, and Wyoming this year.
Please help me hire the professional circulators we need by making your most generous possible contribution HERE.

Hi Chuck Norris,
Why do you endorse Huckabee?
Your reasons seem to be a bit missing the truth??????
Does he believe in these points?
1. Life: For all human beings, from conception to natural death;
2. Liberty: Freedom of conscience and actions for the self-governed individual;
3. Family: One husband and one wife with their children as divinely instituted;
4. Property: Each individuals right to own and steward personal property without government burden;
5. Constitution: and Bill of Rights interpreted according to the actual intent of the Founding Fathers;
6. States’ Rights: Everything not specifically delegated by the Constitution to the federal government is reserved for the state and local jurisdictions;
7. American Sovereignty: American government committed to the protection of the borders, trade, and common defense of Americans, and not entangled in foreign alliances.
Yes, Mike Huckabee: Governor of Arkansas for over 10 years, a Southern Baptist preacher, he’s pro-life, unapologetically Christian and is vocal in his rejection of the theory of evolution.
Huckabee:
• has been criticized for raising taxes but says he cut taxes 94 times while in office.
• says he would have made the decision to go to war in Iraq if he were president.
• supports a guest worker program and has commented that “racism” could be responsible for those who oppose it.
• signed one of the highest minimum wage laws in the region.
His “nanny-state” tendencies are evident in his consideration of a law to ban pregnant women from smoking and his support for laws that require school children be weighed for obesity.
These state-level policy decisions are an indication Governor Huckabee takes a ‘more-is-better’ approach to the federal government’s role. Those who subscribe to a constitutionally-sound political ideology could not support Huckabee for president.
“How’s that working for you” is a phrase TV psychologist and author Dr. Phil is fond of asking those he counsels. After listening to those troubled by chaos and failed relationships, Dr. Phil asks the simple question to make a simple point: Continuing certain behaviors that have repeatedly failed to produce a desired outcome is just plain nuts. Yet that is what American voters are considering when they register approval for candidates like John McCain and Rudy Giuliani.
It is time to leave the GOP and go with and support the Constitution Party…
