Our Speakers for the day (from left to right), Richard Selfridge, Thomas Fallon, Kevin Thompson, Howard Phillips, Nicholas Sumbles and Garrett Lear.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 15, 2007

Billerica, MA

We had an amazing time this weekend at our Constitution Party Unity Rally in Billerica.  This is a first-time event for our party as we our proud to offer voters are first slate of candidates.

Constitution Party of Massachusetts Chairman Richard Selfridge was our master-of-ceremonies for the day.  Rich has been a greater leader in Massachusetts, holding things together for the party when sometimes the prospects looked dim.  His presence here was an encouragement to all.

Our first speaker was Pastor Garrett Lear, pastor of the Well of Living Water Fellowship in Wakefield, NH and a member of the Constitution Party.  The Patriot Pastor boldly proclaimed that someone has stolen our country, and we want it back!  The passionate address was filled quotations from our Founding Fathers, showing us all exactly how far away our nation has drifted from its bearings.

Thomas Fallon is our candidate in the special election to fill the vacant state senate seat in the 4th Middlesex district.  Tom, a newcomer to the political arena, spoke on the need to stand up for our liberty and freedom.  Tired of seeing moral decay, and worried for his children’s future, Tom has thrown his hat into the ring and will be a champion of our causes.

I was honored to be the next speaker in our line-up.  My comments were directed to those who may have doubts about our chances here in Massachusetts.  The truth is, we are finding more and more out there who believe just as we do.  The problem is, they have convinced themselves that voting for the lesser of two evils is their only option.  Instead of voting their conscience, they vote according to the polls.  The only thing necessary for evil to prosper, is for good men to do nothing.  Nothing is no longer an option.  We are taking action, and we will shock a lot of people come Tuesday evening.

After a recorded statement from National Party Chairman Jim Clymer, ballot access expert Nicholas Sumbles spoke on how he came to the party and came here to Massachusetts to help get things going here.  This was all an introduction to our keynote speaker, Howard Phillips.  Howard is the founder of the Constitution Party and of the Conservative Caucus.

Howard Phillips’s presence here was an excitement in and of itself.  This man of such character, honor and accomplishment was an inspiration to all present.  Howard gave a fascinating talk on how our party was formed and the ideals its stands for today.  In bold defense of liberty and the Constitution, Mr. Phillips energized many party members present.

The whole event was an energizing experience.  It was also great to see party members from as far away as Connecticut attend the rally as well.   This only serves to prove our party is growing and starting to work together.  Yet, this is only a first step.  Meetings such as this are nice and needed, but are not an end in and of themselves.  Now we must harness our energy and turn it into action!  Our first action ought to be electing Kevin Thompson to Congress TOMORROW.  Our second step will be sending Tom Fallon to the State Senate on December 11.  Now is our time.
